Topic:    Protecting the Nest Egg:  Detecting & Preventing Investment Fraud in Hawaii
             Tom will share a variety of investment fraud schemes that have been plaguing Hawaii's economy over the
past few years.  He will discuss fictitious investment schemes involving medium-term notes, standby letters of credit,
and platform trading that has become pervasive throughout the U.S.  Actual cases will illustrate the size and frequency
in Hawaii and patterns that emerge among the crimes.  He will present theories of this problem in Hawaii and discuss
actions that can be taken to safeguard your clients' funds.
